This one is too inexpensive to ignore. I now have officially broken the 6 dollar barrier. This goes to show what this awesome 98′ vintage in most of Italy has to offer. Simple and strait forward with a stunning amount of fruit and structure you usually do not see in very inexpensive wines. Good color and aromas of bing cherry, tobacco and clove. On the palate is where you get your moneys worth. Soft and very approachable with dark cherry and luscious berry flavors. No apparent oak and it doesn’t need it, it would probably even ruin the finesse of this little gem of a wine. Go get one, order a pizza and thank me later. $6. CG
