Chateau De La Cantrie Muscadet Sevre Et Maine, 1998

This lovely white wine is from the Loire Valley where the the Sevre and Maine rivers meet, and where most of the production of Muscadet in France comes from. This area is know for there young drinking and refreshing white wines. Chateau De La Cantrie has produced this beautifully crisp and sassy little wine. Pretty aromas of pineapple, pear, and citrus skins fill the glass, with a hint of cut grass herbaceousness. In the mouth, the grip of acidity and zestiness of the wine screams for shellfish. Green apple and pear flavors balance well with a slightly tart finish. An interesting change if you are looking for something different. $9 – CG
